The design is so closely similar that it looks as if someone replaced the Apple logo with Motorola's. On the right is Apple's flagship handset the iPhone X while on the left is Motorola's newest phone the Motorola P30.

The phone, the Motorola P30, looks strikingly similar to Apple's iPhone X. In fact, they look nearly exactly the same, minus a few minor differences. The Motorola P30's design resembles that of the iPhone X - familiar design elements and a notch up top.

In terms of optics, the Moto P30 features a 16-megapixel primary rear OV16B camera sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a secondary 5-megapixel OV5675 sensor (f/2.2 aperture) with PDAF, dual-tone LED flash, and full-HD video recording capabilities. The rear of the device also looks similar to the iPhone X, again except for the Moto logo at the rear which also houses the fingerprint scanner. Nonetheless, if you're a fan of the iPhone X's design and Huawei's iridescent twilight color, then the P30 is all you need. The smartphone will be made available in China starting September 15, in Aurora Blue, Black, and White colour options. The 6.2-inch display has a 19:9 aspect ratio, which is mandatory nowadays. Moreover, an expected Snapdragon 636 coupled with up to 6GB RAM and up to 64GB storage is nothing to sneeze at what will invariably be a very enticing price point. For selfies, a 12-megapixel camera has been touted. The smartphone is said to pack in a 2,820mAh battery underneath the hood.

The notch at the front of the Moto P30 is a little wider than what you would find on the iPhone X. All in all, the P30 features an all-glass design with minimal bezels. This is all for now, folks.

The Moto P30 is only going to be sold in China for now. Technology blogger Marques Brownlee tweeted: "Introducing Motorola P30 Pro: Our most shameless rip yet".
