The most popular meme doing the rounds on Twitter and Instagram is the "Neymar Challenge", where fans film themselves imitating Neymar's antics, and the Paris Saint-Germain forward even tried to see the amusing side by posting his own version of it. Speaking to news agency AFP at Neymar Praia Grande Institute in Brazil, the 26-year old said opened up about his blues following Canary's 2-1 defeat to Belgium in the quarterfinal.

Brazil superstar Neymar has come out in support of Selecao coach Tite and urged him to stay despite their disappointing World Cup. "The speculation? The majority of it is invented by the press". "I wouldn't go as far as to say I didn't want to play again but, I didn't want to see a ball, or to see any more football played", the PSG star said. "I won't respond to this type of question because nothing happened", he said.

"He's a phenomenon, a great player".

"It's true that when it comes to me, there are double standards". "I believe that we football players always try to do the best for the group and for our teammates".

In the short video, Neymar is surrounded by children who fall after he gives them a sign.

Neymar admitted that Brazil's World Cup failure left him feeling low but that he is now over that disappointment after spending time with his family and friends. "I'm very happy for him for the World Cup, for the title", Neymar added.

A lot of times I'm faster and lighter than other players and they tackle me, and the referee is there for that.

"That's a free-kick!" screams the Brazilian breaking into fits of laughter.

Criticism of the world's most expensive player was widespread throughout Russian Federation 2018, with the PSG man starring in a series of internet memes created to poke fun at his reaction to strong tackles.

However, Neymar could not forget the real World Cup in a hurry.

In Mexico, a football club even organised a competition in which contestants attempted to roll the entire length of the pitch.
