And Hayley Hughes bore the brunt of ridicule from Scarlett Moffatt, who mocked the singleton on Twitter after the episode aired.

She didn't know what superficial meant, thought Brexit meant no more trees, and still hasn't learned to pronounce her partner Eyal's name.

"Is Hayley actually that dumb or is it just an act?" asked one. I have no time for her'. I seriously don't have a clue'.

'"He was too deep for me, asking like- what's your favourite animal?"

Having ignored her couplee Eyal for the best part of a week, on Friday - faced with the prospect of being uncoupled - she went on a charm offensive telling him she "wanted to get to know him better".

Of her relationship with Eyal, the model explained: 'He was just too deep for me and [he'd ask me] things.

"I like a lad that plays it cool, do you know what I mean?"

Hayley was widely ridiculed online following the dopey comments, and TV personality Scarlett waded into the conversation.

Hayley has also been criticised for asking the definitions of words such as superficial, earlobe, aura and for thinking Brexit would mean the United Kingdom wouldn't have any trees.

Piers was left holding his hands in his head, but Richard Arnold joked: "To be quite honest she's got a point".

"I think they represent real life and you shouldn't be snobby about whether someone went to university or not".

She's certainly not helping the cause when it comes to Piers Morgan, who called the group 'the most stupid people in the world' during a chat on Good Morning Britain.

The former Gogglebox star couldn't help poking fun at Hayley during Monday night's episode when she made a freaky comment about previous love interest Eyal Booker during a date with a new islander. Susanna thinks they're moral guardians of the nation and we should all be watching'.
