Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has vowed to finally put speculation over his future to bed by making an announcement on Thursday evening.

The 27-year-old Frenchman had said he would let everyone know ahead of France's World Cup opener where he'll be playing on the club level next season.

The player, meanwhile, has tweeted about the development, expressing his support for his fans, team and home.

The decision was completed to the soundtrack of Drake's "God's Plan" in the background. It is a move similar to the notorious Lebron James documentary "The Decision", a TV special aired when James announced he was leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers for Miami Heat.

Griezmann has been long linked with a move to the Nou Camp and could be available for £89million due to a clause in his contract being activated this summer.

"But the truth is that I'm going to say now".

The French striker has been teasing his future for several months and made the rather freakish choice of filming his decision with Spanish TV station Movistar - even recording two separate versions for if he stays or goes.

The forward appeared in a short video released by Movistar, in which he says: "You'll be fed up with the comments saying if I'm going, if I'm staying, how much they give me, how much they don't give me". But all he said was that his mind was made up, and that he is O.K. with the public speculating what his choice is.
