To be made available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, gamers can look forward for the release of Kingdom Hearts III on 29 January 2019. A Fragmentary Passage was specifically touted as being a bridge between previous installment Birth By Sleep and also serving as a prologue to Kingdom Hearts III. And at least they announced the news at a semi-ungodly hour on the weekend of E3. While the game's producer, Tetsuya Nomura apologizes that he and his team need addition time to finish up the game, at the very least the game now has a firm release date.

Confirmed new Disney and Pixar worlds set to appear in the game include the Kingdom of Corona from Tangled, San Fransokyo from the Big Hero 6, Andy's Toy Box from Toy Story, and the world of Monsters, Inc.

Hopefully Kingdom Hearts III will be a polished experience when it launches on consoles soon. The music included pieces of "You've Got a Friend in Me" from the film and battle music from the upcoming game.

What do you think of the new Kingdom Hearts 3 release date? Is it much later than you anticipated?
