71.9% Indians say they will vote for Modi in 2019

Talking about the achievements of the Modi government, Shah said that the prime minister is leading a transparent government, which takes decision transparent decisions and is sensitive to the needs of the people.

He said: "While Congress was government was constructing 12km of road on a day, the NDA government's corresponding figure is 27km of road per day".

Replying to a question if a resurgent Congress under its newly-appointed president Rahul Gandhi would make things more hard for the BJP, he said that the SP-BSP alliance was a much bigger challenge than Rahul Gandhi.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government at the Centre, tweeted, "On this day in 2014, we began our journey of working towards India's transformation".

In contrast, Pilot said, Congress leaders are united and focused on winning the next assembly elections in Rajasthan. It doesn't work like that.

He suggested that the BJP was facing infighting among its leaders.

"Mamata, Akhilesh (Yadav), Mayawati, Sharad Pawar and Rahul (Gandhi). they all fought against us". They are main opponents (of the BJP) in their state. "Others do not matter there".

Amit Shah said that the BJP would win at least 80 seats in 2019 polls which it could not win in the last election.

"When a voter casts his vote to form government keeping in mind who will be the Prime Minister whether Narendra Modi or someone else, the parameters will be different from the by-elections".

He said the Congress party will decide on its chief ministerial candidate after the election results are declared. His party has not supported him when he said he wants to be Prime Minister.

He said that the National Democratic Alliance government had won people's confidence in the past four years by implementing pro-people policies.

Lashing out at the Modi government, Sibal said that the BJP is destroying the country and Modi has betrayed the people.

Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said the four years of BJP rule had seen an unprecedented assault on India as a country and the livelihood of our people.

The BJP on Saturday celebrated four years of the Modi government, claiming that it has given a corruption-free government in the interest of the poor and farmers while the Congress marked it as a "betrayal day", accusing it of failing on multiple fronts. Shah hailed PM Modi for a successful completion of 4 years and said that when NDA govt came to power, people had nearly lost their faith in multi-party democracy.

He also said that several measures such as the constitution of an SIT to curb black money were taken by the government. The government has taken "futuristic and people-friendly decisions that are laying the foundations of a New India", he said.
