RCB now will have to rely on results from other matches to see if they finish in the top 4. Now sitting on seventh spot in the points table, the Virat Kohli-led side needs to do a Mumbai Indians (MI) and win all their remaining games, and even then rely on permutations. This has surely left the fans disappointed.

More worryingly, they have often been lambasted for being heavily dependent on their two marquee players in de Villers and Kohli as others in their squad have been failed to step up. Realising how dismal they have been this season, AB de Villers has confessed on Saturday that they have let their fans down.

The message was captioned: "We're hoping to make a good comeback in the last 4 games and make our supporters proud". The batsmen had also let them down against Chennai Super Kings in the previous game, managing just 127.

However, AB was positive that they will give their best in the remaining matches.

"We're not dead yet".

Their next match will be played against Delhi Daredevils at the Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi today. "We know we have let people down, yet we know we retain a chance of sneaking into the knockout phase, and we still believe we can beat anyone", the 34-year-old wrote in his column for TOI.

RCB are now at Number 7 in the IPL 2018 points table with 3 victories in 10 games. The Bengaluru side have to win all four of their remaining games to have any chance of making it to the play-offs.

Already out of contention for the Indian Premier League (IPL) play-offs, bottom-placed Delhi Daredevils will attempt to end the season on a bright note when they face laggards Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Ferozshah Kotla here on Saturday. The live telecast of the IPL 2018 match between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore will start at 8PM on May 12th (Saturday).
