Sunny skies with possible scattered thunderstorms to start the week

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high at 89. Overnight temperatures this week will be rather comfortable in the mid to upper 60s. Lightning, small hail and wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour will become possible later in the day and overnight.

Tonight: Clear, with a low at 60. There is a chance for a rain shower or two Thursday night into Friday morning as a cold front will slide through the state.

For Sunday night, there will be a chance of scattered rain showers, mainly before 11 p.m.

Tomorrow: Partly sunny, with a high at 87.

Today: Sunny, with a high at 86. Saturday: Mostly sunny - high near 85. It will be cooler Monday night, dropping into the mid 40s.

Temperatures are expected to remain mild over the next few days in the Council Bluffs-Omaha area, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms both early and late in the week. However, some pollutants there may be a moderate health concern for a very small number of people who are sensitive to air pollution.

Unhealthy - Everyone may begin to experience health effects members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects.
