Police say a dark colored sedan pulled up around 8:30 Saturday night and someone fired shots hitting the women. They're in fair and very good state in the Southwest aspect healthcare facility.

Family members informed authorities that the drive-by could be related to another shooting that occurred in the South Side of Chicago.

A 12-year-old boy was injured after he was shot in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. Their conditions were unknown, police said.

Amanda Morris told the Chicago Tribune her 25-year-old nephew was undergoing surgery inside when a auto pulled up and the shooting started.

She said it was hard to fathom what had happened, asking, "What kind of city do with live in.?"

No one is in custody.
