Battlefield Game Could Be 'Bad Company 3'

After several years it would make sense that the game is ready to be released, and it would just so happen to coincide perfectly with Battlefield 2018.

There is now no official release date for the next Battlefield game, but it is set to come out some time in 2018.

The leak comes from a Twitter user called Abbas Alrubaie, who claims to be a developer at DICE, the studio which is reportedly working on the latest entry in the Electronic Arts-published first-person shooter series. It was released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Some question whether Al-Rubaie is a reliable source, but his account is followed by the official Battlefield Twitter account. The tweet has since been removed and the account has been made private. While AlmightyDaq claims the game will be set in the Vietnam era though, all other indications are that the game will be set in the World War II time period.

It's also being speculated that EA DICE might be working on two different "Battlefield" titles at the same time. Game Rant pointed out that DICE has two development teams, one based in Los Angeles and another in Stockholm, Sweden. One could be slated to be released this year, while the other could be further down the line. The developer might provide fans with more information about the future of "Battlefield" games during its EA Play event at E3 2018 next month.

While all rumors must be taken with a grain of salt, this one has some credibility.

According to a report from Power-Up Gaming, it seems that 2018's Battlefield could be in the works and could actually be Bad Company 3.
