Visitation for slain Dallas officer set for Monday night

Traffic delays are expected on Tuesday for portions of USA 75 and the President George Bush Turnpike as a funeral procession for fallen Dallas police officer Rogelio Santander makes its way from Rockwall to Dallas. Guests from all over the country will be in attendance, with as many as 4,000 people expected. Officer Santander died following a shootout in a Dallas Home Depot last week.

It will be a two day process, beginning Monday afternoon with a celebration of life through a private mass at Cathedral Guadalupe for Officer Rogelio Santander's family and close friends.

Even some people who did not know Santander personally are in North Texas to be at the Tuesday service and say goodbye to the respected officer.

Police from New York, Boston, Chicago and Detroit attended Monday night's visitation.

The funeral is slated for 11 a.m.at Lakepointe Church in Rockwall City.

A procession down Interstate 30 to Dallas will follow. Expect traffic. Here's the route.
