OHL: Greyhounds beat Rangers in OT of Game 7

On Monday, the host Soo Greyhounds beat the Kitchener Rangers 4-3 in exciting Game 7 double overtime style to win their Western Conference final. The Rangers Logan Stanley scored with 52 seconds left in regulation to force extra time.

Veteran forward Givani Smith has been suspended by the league after a review of an incident following Sunday's sixth game in which Smith made "an inappropriate gesture" toward the Greyhounds bench following Kole Sherwood's overtime victor.

Matthew Villalta made 33 saves for the win as Mario Culina stopped 37 shots in a losing cause.

Smith has been suspended for two games.

The Greyhounds went 0 for 3 on the power play while the Rangers scored once on three chances with the man advantage.

The Greyhounds will face off against the Hamilton Bulldogs in the upcoming finals.
