The remake brings the same absurd level numbers and flashy battle animations as the original version of the games, but you'll get to see them touched up and look more like a modern game. Disgaea 1 Complete will show the origins of the game which launched back in 2003. Netherworld Prince Laharl awakens to fight for his throne and it's up to him and some unlikely allies to defend what is rightfully his.

The cult favorite tactical RPG Disgaea: Hour of Darkness is receiving an HD makeover on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. In keeping with its mission, NIS America also publishes other popular Japanese games including the Danganronpa series, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA, and Grand Kingdom. The game will definitely have the same stories that every gamer is familiar with and it will come with the same gameplay as the original one, but the visuals will be improved way better than the original or so the developers are claiming.

Release Date: Fall 2018 Platform: Nintendo Switch, PS4 Genre: Strategy RPG Player (s): 1 Audio: English / Japanese Text: English / French Ratings: RP Publisher: NIS America, Inc.

NIS America similarly has already confirmed localization plans, renaming the remake Disgaea 1 Complete. You can pre-order a copy today, including a standard boxed addition as well as a fancy Rosen Queen's Finest Edition, which includes a treasure trove of physical goodies including a hardcover art book, a soundtrack, a Prinny Cube plush and loads more.

All we really know right now is that it's the original game, on new hardware, in HD. The developing team has released full information about Disgaea 1 Complete on their official website.
