Listed in the scripts as "Mystery Girl", fans have been theorizing on the identity of the character and executive producer Todd Helbing commented on the speculation following a press screening for this week's episode of The Flash.

"Not really, no", Helbing says of whether fans' have guessed this mystery girl's identity yet. The young woman noted that the wedding would be "one for the ages". From her first appearance, fans immediately thought that his Mystery Girl, played by Jessica Parker Kennedy, has to have some relationship with Barry and Iris.

"Some of them get pretty close, some of them they hit like one part of it but they don't get other parts", Helbing said in an interview with TVGuide, "so it's fun to read". Since then, she's appeared twice on The Flash, each in a scene where she has an awkward encounter with members of Team Flash. During a battle with Team Flash, Matthew accidentally takes Barry's (Grant Gustin) speed away and gives it to Iris (Candice Patton). All of these little clues have many fans thinking that she is either Barry and Iris' future daughter, Dawn Allen or even their granddaughter, Jenni Ognats though explanations on how she could be either have widely varied. How and why she'd time travel to the past to pseudo-stalk her parents and their friends is less clear, but can't you kind of see the resemblance?

Another theory that has been swirling around recently is that she may be the new Earth-3 speedster that Jay Garrick mentioned. A version of her costume will be worn by Iris when she gains Barry's speed in this week's episode.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
