Heather Locklear has escaped a felony charge after she was arrested for domestic violence following a fight with her boyfriend.

Locklear, also known for appearing in Melrose Place, avoided any felony charges and is instead facing five misdemeanours, which are less serious. Heather was arrested last month after her brother called 911 saying Heather and her boyfriend were drunk and fighting.

Locklear was arrested on February 25 at her Thousand Oaks, California home after her brother called 911 after seeing Locklear fight with her boyfriend, Chris Heisser. Police arrived to find Locklear on a bed with Heisser standing over her and holding her down by her wrists.

Locklear, 56, who is now in treatment at a medical facility, became belligerent with officers and was allegedly "combative, flailing, kicking" at officers as they tried to take her into custody.

"You f**ks deserve your kids to die!" You f****** deserve it! "I hope no one f- burns your entire department down, your f- police department".

She allegedly told police, "I will shoot you if you come on my property and take that as a threat and f**king put another count against me". In a police report obtained by Global News, Locklear supposedly kicked and pushed one of the responding deputies out of her bedroom and yelled, "Get the f**k out of my house!"

According to the arrest warrant, Locklear's sister told police that Heisser tried to choke and kill the 56-year-old actress.
