Vande Hei, Acaba and Misurkin were assisted out of their Soyuz by Russian recovery forces, who along with NASA flight surgeons, provided initial medical checks to the three crew members.

We've seen all kinds of unusual little robot helpers, from Robelf to Temi, but Cimon is probably the weirdest: it's a floating face in a ball, created to help astronauts carry out tasks on deep space missions.and keep an eye on them. Three hours later, the Soyuz spacecraft will plunge into Earth's atmosphere before parachuting down to the steppe of Kazakhstan, where the crew is scheduled to land at 9:32 p.m. EST (0232 GMT, or 8:32 a.m. local time in Kazakhstan, on February 28).

"It was like one day". The command changing ceremony happened on Monday 2:40 pm when commander Misurkin handed over the station control to cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov. "I will never forgot our jobs and staying here".

Its first mission will be on the International Space Station, where it will help to record experiment results and test out its basic functions, like voice and facial recognition.

Now operating the station are Expedition 55 crew members Commander Anton Shkaplerov of Roscosmos and Flight Engineers Scott Tingle of NASA and Norishige Kanai of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency.

Three more Expedition 55 members - Oleg Artemyev of Roscosmos and Ricky Arnold and Drew Feustel of NASA - are scheduled to launch to the space station on March 21 and arrive two days later. We didn't broke nearly anything.

The time on station for the three marks the start of the first long-term increase in the crew size of the US segment of the space station.

All three crewmates also conducted spacewalks. Acaba completed one spacewalk to lubricate an end effector and install new cameras on the station's arm and truss.

Misurkin, Acabaand and Vande Hei were part of ISS expeditions 53/54.

The two Americans and one Russian entered their attached Soyuz capsule and undocked for the ride back to Earth.

Both NASA men will board a plane from Kazakhstan to Houston to continue post-mission testing while Misurkin is bound for Star City, just outside Moscow.
