Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday confirmed party chief cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan's third marriage with Bushra Manika.

Imran Khan Thursday poured his heart out about the affair, saying it hurts that media was targeting his marriage with a woman, Bushra Bibi, whom he considers his spiritual leader and has never seen without a veil over the period of his acquaintance.

The photographs show Imran and a veiled Bushra along with several others, including PTI leaders Awn Chaudhry and Zulfi Bukhari.

The report also claimed that the wedding was held in Lahore on January 1 and was attended by Khan's close aides.

"Even now, it is quite evident that the marriage has been solemnised but why is it being said that only the marriage proposal has been sent across", she said while bashing Imran for claiming that "he had only sent a proposal".

Chairman Imran Khan Sunday objected to Supreme Court's verdict in Panama Papers leaks case, which disqualified Nawaz Sharif on the basis of Iqama.

Presiding over a meeting of the PTI's central executive committee (CEC), Mr Khan predicted that there would be a one-to-one contest between his party and the Pakistan Muslim League-N in the coming general elections as the Pakistan Peoples Party had been eliminated from Punjab.

The statement said that this extremely private and sensitive matter was made the subject of an erroneous story leading to all manner of public conjecture. "Till then we request the media to give the two families, especially the children, their privacy", the tweet had added.

Bushra Maneka is in her 40s, and belongs to the Wattoo clan, of which the Manekas are a sub-clan.

The report suggested that Khan met there with Bushra, known as "Pinky" in the area, for spiritual advice. Earlier, she was married to Khawar Farid Maneka, a senior customs official in Islamabad but parted ways in recent times.

In the past, Imran has not only fully supported Nawaz's ouster on the basis of Iqama, but mocked the former premier's narrative on his disqualification. Khan married Jemima Goldsmith, a British socialite, in 1995.

The PTI chief has been married twice before.

Khan tied the knot for second time with TV anchor Reham Khan but their marriage was dissolved 10 months after the wedding ceremony in January 2015.
