Padmaavat emerges to be Deepika Padukone's highest grosser with 231 cr!

With a total ₹ 239.50 crore domestically, Padmaavat has outrun the lifetime collection of Deepika Padukone's previous highest grossing film Chennai Express that registered ₹ 227.13 crore at the box office.

Released on 25 January, 2018, the film collected a whopping Rs.166.50 crore in Week 1 only.

"Movie critic and trade Analyst shared the box office report of the film on his Twitter handle writing, "#Padmaavat remains STEADY. Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are all celebrating biggest hit of their life with a film which was not even going to release if supreme court has not given the most historic judgement on it by keeping it away from the states ban being implemented on the film.

The actress will soon begin shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj's film "Sapna Didi" with Irrfan Khan. However, the testing period for the makers and cast are over as they can sit back and enjoy the sweet taste of success.

The film had already entered the 200 crore club in the beginning of its 2 week itself. It will be interesting to see how Padmaavat faces competition at the box office. The film is just doing one thing at the moment-shattering records!

Sanjay Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat has worked it's magic on the Indian audience and collected very large amount on box office. Dangal (Rs 388 crores), PK (339.50 crores), Tiger Zinda Hai (339.08 crores), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (320.34 crores), Sultan (300.45 crores), Dhoom 3 (280.25 crores) and Krrish 3 (240.45 crores) are ahead of Padmaavat.

Asked about how she is celebrating the success of Padmaavat, she said, "To be really honest, I think there hasn't been any time to celebrate the success because there is so much happening right now".
