Ultimate Fighter season five victor Nate Diaz wants his long-awaited comeback fight to be a trilogy fight with McGregor, according to Eddie Alvarez. Absolutely over the moon for her.

"I'm now in negotiations to face my next opponent and we have many options, there's the current interim lightweight champion, there's the undefeated Daegestani, that could be a big Russian event", he added.

McGregor won the lightweight title in November of 2015, adding to the UFC featherweight belt he already held, making him the first athlete in UFC history to hold two divisional titles simultaneously. He is now sizing up three opponents.

Mayweather says in one of the videos, seemingly a message to Irish bookmakers Paddy Power, who sponsored the five-weight world champion in last year's fight.

Other options include Nate Diaz, which would be a popular choice with many fight fans after two previous box office bouts between the pair.

McGregor could return to action in September. Later that year, at UFC 202, McGregor secured his revenge with a majority decision victory.

Conor McGregor has told Floyd Mayweather to be careful what he wishes for after responding to the retired boxer's social media challenge. Floyd "Money" Mayweather.... MMA... He lost in the 10th round.

"Of course I would love to get that one back", he added, referring to the match that he lost to Mayweather previous year.

"I'm now in negotiations to face my next opponent", McGregor said on his fighting future.

Mayweather, of course, has been teasing a possible foray into MMA this week, posting videos of himself bouncing around inside an MMA octagon . There is speculation that this could lead to a UFC fight.

"If it is just hype it will follow him for the rest of his days". DJ says he'd have no problem showing TBE how much better MMA is than boxing - by trying to SNAP HIS ARM. "His time now. His go now". Mayweather had confirmed that his record-breaking win over UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor in August would be his last hurrah in the sport of boxing, yet has indicated that he would be up for a move to MMA.

But, regardless, he still expects to dominate Mayweather.

But the opportunity for UFC star McGregor to gain a measure of revenge in the more familiar surroundings of the octagon is a prospect that appears to have grown in likelihood in recent weeks. If he does do it - I know he's flirting with it - I'd have respect for him.
