In the United video, Sanchez puts on his United kit to the light music coming from a piano played by himself before walking onto the Old Trafford pitch to breathe in the air which he will now call home.

The centre-half is now contracted to Well until 2020 and the club revealed the news via Twitter in spectacular style as they borrowed a theme from Manchester United.

When Manchester United unveiled Alexis Sanchez following their swap deal with Arsenal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go the other way, the Red Devils released a video that grabbed eyeballs as the tweet went viral.

And the Scottish Premiership side have made a decision to announce the permanent transfer of Hartley, who had spent the first half of the season on loan at the club from Blackpool, with a similar effort.

Accompanying the video, the club wrote: "Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats".

29-year-old Pete Hartley's permanent move to Fir Park was announced in a more stripped-back version of United's cinematic production.

But instead of a grand piano used by Alexis, Hartley was seen playing a miniature sized keyboard!

He sealed a loan move to Motherwell on deadline day and has since made 17 appearances north of the border.

"I've been at this club for six months and it's a fantastic dressing room, probably one of the best I've been in".

Hartley's piss-takey tribute to Sanchez's gravitas-heavy reveal makes it one of our favourite player announcements of all time.
