While exterior images of the new SUV won't be released until the unveiling, Land Rover describes the body design as "seductive" with "breathtaking exterior proportions" and an interior that is "sumptuous, supremely refined (and) beautifully appointed".

Right now, though, we'll have to take Jaguar Land Rover's word for it that the exterior is sufficiently striking to make those promises accurate.

Land Rover will introduce the Range Rover SV Coupe at the Geneva Motor Show in March, a 2-door take on its classic full-size luxury SUV created to honor the original Range Rover, which was also introduced with two doors back in 1970.

It's also been confirmed that JLR's new flagship will command a substantial price premium over the top-shelf Range Rover SVAutobiography Long Wheelbase, which now costs $373,611 in 5.0-litre V8 petrol form and $347,611 in 4.4-litre V8 petrol guise.

The top-down view of the interior that Land Rover released today shows a typically sumptuous Range Rover interior with a unique split color scheme for front and rear passengers and more quilted leather and handsome wood than you can shake a stick at.

We'll have to wait until Tuesday, March 6, to see the rest of the SV Coupe when it is revealed at the Geneva Auto Show. "This is a vehicle that will resonate on an emotional level".

The hand-assembled Range Rover SV Coupe will be limited to just 999 units.

Land Rover is set to reveal a coupé version of the Range Rover at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March, but don't expect it to become a common sight on the roads.

"Land Rover created the luxury SUV sector with Range Rover nearly 50 years ago", said John Edwards, the managing director of SVO, which produced the low-volume Jaguar F-TYPE-based Project 7 and even wilder XE-based Project 8.

We have, however, already spotted the SV Coupe in testing, with the camouflage only just about able to disguise the missing rear door on the vehicle - it was given away by the fact that the apparent door seam is placed differently to how it should be on the Range Rover.
