While this is definitely a setback for The Bar, the couple of RAW episodes left prior to Royal Rumble still gives them the opportunity to avenge that defeat and get back in the win column. Holly last wrestled for WWE at WrestleMania 25 in 2009.

In case you didn't know...

Other surprising appearances could include Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita, who revolutionized the diva's division in The Attitude Era. The former has seemingly agreed to work the match, but McCool is still negotiating, and there's no indication of how said discussions are going.

The very first female Royal Rumble will take place at the pay-per-view event on January 28, with 30 women slated to compete in the match.

The event is receiving considerable coverage not only in the sports media but also in mainstream news outlets, owing to its historical significance, as the first-ever All-Women's Royal Rumble match will take place on the show. She was Hardcore Champion for a split second at WrestleMania X8, and later held the Women's Title for 301 days across two separate reigns before retiring in 2005.

And with the details of the women's Royal Rumble match being the same as the men's match, many began to speculate on certain aspects of the match and how they will go. They were involved in the first women's main event match, so why not reward the two icons with spot in the Royal Rumble?

Molly Holly is someone that many fans grew up watching and whilst there are many women of that era that took all the plaudits, Molly Holly was someone who was always overlooked.

McCool, on the other hand, recently teased on social media during an interaction with Charlotte Flair that she would be interested in returning to the WWE for a final match.
