Developed by Ubisoft Sofia, developers of the original Assassin's Creed Rogue, the remaster will display in 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. On PS4 and Xbox One it will display in 1080p. It was the last entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise to be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and remained exclusive to those consoles until March 2015, when Ubisoft brought it to Windows PC.

Assassin's Creed: Rogue Remastered features higher-resolution textures and shadows, improved environmental rendering, and new visual effects, according to Ubisoft.

Ubisoft says it'll "offer an even more lovely and immersive gaming experience that invites fans of the series and new players alike to discover, or rediscover, Shay's adventures in 18th century North America". In addition to that, some of the first screenshots from the remaster were released.

Ubisoft is a leading creator, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment and services, with a rich portfolio of world-renowned brands, including Assassin's Creed, Just Dance, Tom Clancy's video game series, Rayman, Far Cry and Watch Dogs.

Cast off in your ship, the Morrigan, and fight your way through the icy seas of the North Atlantic and the narrow waters of America's river valleys.

I would find it hard to truly recommend Assassin's Creed Rogue to anyone who is not very entrenched into the story line, especially at its full retail price.
