Signed to a five-year, $81 million deal, Hopkins enters the final week of the season with a league-best 13 touchdown receptions to go along with 96 catches and 1,378 yards. Hopkins is sitting out of Thursday's practice with a calf injury and is unlikely to be active for Houston's game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. "You know what I mean?" After a Pro Bowl season leading the National Football League with 13 touchdown catches, the Texans are deciding whether or not to shut down Hopkins for the final game at Indianapolis.

If you missed the fourth quarter of the Houston Texans' game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day, you are probably not alone.

"Look, if you don't have Hop, obviously, you're missing some production there, but other guys have to step up, but that'a decision that will be made more towards game time".

"We'll kind of have to see where it is on Saturday and then Sunday before the game", he said. With Houston's season well over, it seems like the team and player may err on the side of caution.

DeAndre Hopkins' streak of 79 consecutive games will likely come to an end this weekend.

The Texans will face the Indianapolis Colts to close out their 2017 regular season on the road.
