Xiaomi Redmi 5A With 3GB RAM Starts Offline Sales at Rs 7499

The cheapest phone from the India bandwagon, the Redmi 5A offers quality hardware at a low price point. The Redmi 5A derives its juice from the very decent 3,000 mAh battery that, Xiaomi claims, is capable of offering 8 days of standby time.

While the Xiaomi Redmi 5A was launched at Rs. 6,999 for the 3GB variant, it will be available for Rs. 7,499 from offline stores, which is Rs. 500 higher than the online price. The smartphone comes in Gold, Rose Gold and Dark Grey colours. Mi Capsule earphone will be up for grabs at Rs 899 (Rs 100 off) in black or white colour variants.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A will soon be available offline via select brick-and-mortar stores across India. Enthusiasts will know that upon launch, the device had two variants: one with 2GB RAM plus 16GB of internal storage which was priced at Rs 4,999 while the slightly more premium 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variant was priced at Rs 6,999.

Xiaomi No.1 Mi Fan sale will be held across company's offline stores or Mi Homes across India.

The 10.or D is a dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) smartphone that runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, coupled with 2GB/ 3GB of RAM. On the front, the device sports a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone also packs in a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. Onboard this device is a 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution while a pixel density of 296ppi provides sharper display output.

In the camera department, the Redmi 5A has a 13-megapixel camera sensor with LED flash on the back and a 5-megapixel selfie sensor. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Infrared, USB OTG, and FM radio. There is also a 3000mAh battery under the hood.

The 10.or D is based on a stock version of Android 7.1.2 Nougat, with an Android 8.0 Oreo update expected next year. Additionally, the smartphone equips Dirac mobile audio for an immersive audio experience.
