There's nothing more heartwarming at Christmas than the idea of grudges being cast aside and family reuniting.

Speculation will now inevitably increase about an Oasis reunion, but earlier this year Noel Gallagher said that putting the iconic band back together would "kill me as a person".

Delighted fans were in meltdown at the message and tweeted at the Mancunian for confirmation. And added, "We're all good again".

Liam and Noel Gallagher have reached a Christmas truce, the younger Oasis brother has revealed.

To a fan who wrote: "Team who?"

WHEN OASIS SPLIT in 2009, a tireless feud between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher ensued.

He responded: "He's already reached out".

It is a massive surprise, and many of Liam's followers wondered if his account had been hacked.

Liam made his feelings known about Noel's decision not to perform at One Love Manchester, a benefit concert for those affected by the bombing of the Manchester Arena in May.

If that's indeed the case, it's a pretty quick turnaround from Noel - who only a month ago described his brother as a "village idiot" and claimed "he's not well".

Is the Oasis sibling rivalry finally over?

We certainly hope so! And I know you were all anxious. I reckon we would have to meet up and hug it out, as they say'.
