Capcom announces Devil May Cry HD Collection

The legendary Devil May Cry franchise is getting a new lease on life on today's latest platforms. All three of these games have enough demon slaying, arcade-style combo action that it'll make you hungry enough for a slice of pizza (yes, I'm making the obvious DMC 3 references now).

It's been quite some time since we had a chance to mingle with the stylish slayer, but ever since we played the original Devil May Cry in 2001, Dante has remained an important character in the PlayStation ecosystem and beyond. The same applies to 2003's Devil May Cry 2, while the Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition was afforded a PC release ahead of its European console counterpart in 2006.

This announcement will be further fuel on the rumour-fire surrounding an imminent reveal of Devil May Cry 5; possibly at tonight's Game Awards, or perhaps at the weekend PSX event. This will bring Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 13, 2018. Capcom didn't confirm any additional visual improvements so it is safe to assume that the games will be a simple port of the PS3 and 360 version of the collection.
