To sign up, Xbox One and Windows 10 PC owners must simply join the insider program. Developer Rare announced today that everyone who joins the game's Insider Programme by December 1 will be invited to the next alpha play session. Since the original Technical Alpha launched past year, the player base evolved from 1,000 players to nearly 200,000 at its peak.

Why sign up now if you haven't already?

The next Sea of Thieves technical alpha test is just around the corner, and it'll be open to everyone - if you sign up in time, that is. In the space of a year we've scaled up from that first wave of 1,000 players to nearly 200,000. By joining the Insider Programme today, you can also receive regular updates from the development team and share your thoughts about the game with the community. Please remember that these Technical Alpha play sessions are purely for the benefit of our Insiders and are now under NDA, so they can't be streamed or captured!

This is a fantastic announcement from Rare that is sure to give Sea of Thieves renewed momentum going into the new year. As the Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive moves toward its early 2018 release date, Rare is gearing up for the next play session, and it turns out anyone who wants to jump in will have the chance to.

See you all on the seas!
