Cloudy, cool Wednesday ahead for Tri

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Wednesday, citing a dense fog that is blanketing the area, greeting drivers with low visibility during their morning commute.

Skies are forecast to be sunny through Sunday, with highs in the mid-50s today and the mid-60s by Friday. Northwest wind 9 to 14 miles per hour. Most of your Thanksgiving week will be fair to partly cloudy and mostly dry and cool. The low overnight was expected to be around 32, per the NWS. North wind around 15 miles per hour. North wind around 5 miles per hour becoming calm after midnight.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 64.

The rest of the holiday weekend will continue in the same pattern with sunny skies and highs ranging from 44 to 55 degrees. Southerly winds 5-10 miles per hour.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 65.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 46.

Monday Night: Clear, with a low around 35.

The National Weather Service's Slidell office has forecast a zero chance of rain through Friday as a cold front moves over the area.
