Luis Suarez ended his five-game goal drought in style, firing in a brace in the encounter for his first goals in over a month. The Uruguayan had gone 478 minutes without scoring.

Semedo looked to be suffering from a muscle injury and his loss is a problem for Barca as Sergi Roberto was also injured, while Gerard Pique picked up a fifth booking of the campaign, which means he will miss next weekend's trip to Valencia through suspension.

In the 90th minute, Messi's brilliant work down the left flank rattled the Leganes defence yet again as his flicked pass found Paulinho who tapped in Barcelona's third which handed Leganes their third straight defeat in the Spanish La Liga Santander this season.

"What we have to do is keep going like this".

After the game, the former Liverpool man stated in his interview that he "was not really anxious about scoring" and the key part was that he could help his team win the game, with his contribution on the pitch on the night. "Leganes made it hard for us and had a great game, while there were times when we weren't brilliant". We already know our forwards always relate well with our opponent's goal and that sooner or later, the goals will come.

Suarez concluded by saying that he hopes his team keeps playing the way that they are and win more games in the upcoming days.
