Buhari shuns IPOB threat, arrives in Ebonyi

This marks the first time he visited the region gripped by secessionist agitation and anti-Buhari sentiments since his inauguration in 2015.

Many in the southeast region view the president as anti-Igbo, a sentiment built on Buhari's crackdown aimed at secessionist activists led by Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

He was also conferred with a top chieftaincy title in Igboland.

President Buhari also performed the foundation-stone laying ceremonies of Ebonyi City Mall, another flyover and road tunnel named after him.

TheNewsGuru reports President Buhari was conferred with the title of Enyioma 1 of Ebonyi and Ochioha Ndi Igbo 1.

All who is who in the state were on ground to welcome the President except the immediate past governor of the State, Chief Martin Elechi who was conspicuously missing.

In a Facebook live streaming video, Mr. Omokri said the Northern leaders had sponsored the ratification to suit themselves for the hatred they have for women controlling men, turning Nigerian Army to their personal property.

He said that his visit to the state was clear demonstration of his administration's strong belief in the unity of Nigeria. IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu is missing after a military raid on his family compound in Umuahia, capital of Abia state.
