Eminem serves as hype man for Detroit Pistons NBA season opener

With the instrumental of his smash "Lose It" playing in the background, Eminem rocks a Pistons shirt and grabs a mic to welcome fans to the first Detroit Pistons game in Detroit in almost 40 years.

Eminem played a big role in firing up Detroit's home crowd at the Pistons' opened Wednesday in a new arena and played their first regular-season game in the city in decades.

Kid Rock and Eminem are two musicians that have made headlines recently not for their music, but for their involvement in politics.

Eminem grabbed the attention of the crowd and opened the first National Basketball Association regular season game at Little Caesars Arena with a message. Tobias Harris led the way.

The Pistons started their new season in their new stadium off right by beating their opponents the Charlotte Hornets 102-90. They hadn't called downtown Detroit home since 1978 when they played in Cobo Arena.
