Haryana police arrests Dera Sauda CEO CPArora, two others for sheltering Honeypreet

Sharanjeet Kaur and her son Gurmeet Singh, arrested from their village in Bathinda, were remanded in judicial custody. It was from here that Honeypreet went to Delhi to file anticipatory bail in the Delhi high court. They had gone into hiding when Haryana police had gone to their house last week along with Honeypreet, the police said. "We shall be further probing his role in the violence that erupted after Dera chief was convicted by the CBI court for rape on August 25", said Chawla.

Sources said there are at least 8-9 other people who are under scanner.

Adjusting to prison life has reportedly been tough for the Dera Sacha Sauda chief who is engaged in growing vegetables for which he makes Rs 20 daily.

After being on the run for over a month, Honeypreet was arrested on October 3 by the Haryana Police from Zirakpur- Patiala road in Punjab for her alleged involvement in hatching a conspiracy to incite the violence in Panchkula. The police are also looking for those who sheltered her in Muksatsar district too.

A police personnel and the CEO of a business venture run by Dera Sacha Sauda have been arrested in connection with the violence in Panchkula after Ram Rahim Singh's conviction in rape cases on August 25. He was dera chief's point person in Rajasthan and also member of dera's 45-member committee.

Police sources said the accused was leaking information to the dera officials about the police positions and helped them identify various points of possible exit routes.
