Most-wanted fugitive's Instagram live video leads police straight to him

- One of Texas's most wanted fugitives was arrested early Tuesday morning after a police chase near Los Angeles.

Dallas police provided their Los Angeles counterparts with the Global Positioning System coordinates for Gonzalez's location, and an LAPD fugitive team found him with a rented Chevrolet SUV. He was arrested by Los Angeles officers after Dallas detectives found him when he "posted his location on Instagram Live", police in Texas said in a news release. Dallas officials were able to provide Global Positioning System coordinates of the video signal, and LAPD undercover officers ultimately located the suspect vehicle, a rented black Chevrolet SUV. However, a criminal in the United States couldn't resist live live-streaming a video on Instagram, which ultimately led police straight to him.

Officers located Gonzalez and another man near the intersection of Serrania Avenue and Wells Drive, but the two quickly fled the scene, De la Luz said. After arriving at the 5000 block of Serrania Avenue, near Serrania Charter for Enriched Studies, police found a vehicle matching the description of the suspect's auto and were able to arrest him. Along with murder allegations, he was allegedly involved with a number of aggravated home invasions in Dallas from October 2016 through February 2017.

Gonzalez, known as "Little Chris, ' was named to Texas" Most Wanted list in August.

Christopher Ricardo Gonzalez, 18, was wanted by Dallas police on suspicion of murder, aggravated robbery and engaging in organized crime. He was arrested at about 1:50 a.m., and the second suspect was found about an hour later, police said.
