In addition, HTC is also the manufacturer that's helping Google assembly the highly anticipated Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

While we can't be certain that this is indeed Edge Sense in all but name, or that it's coming to the Pixel 2, both are looking very likely at this point.

Almost every major tech company refreshed its smartphone flagship offering this year.

Various strings of text also suggest that Google Assistant will gain refined podcast playback controls including the ability to “continue last plated podcast” as well as “Playback preferences”.

The squeezable Active Edge frame of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones would not just be able to do things from the home screen, but they can be programmed for app-specific tasks too.

It is an interesting choice of dates because if you recall, it was on the 4th of October in 2016 that Google launched the Pixel and Pixel XL, so we guess Google has chosen to launch the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL handsets exactly one year later. To know more about the device, Google Pixel 2, one can also go through the video teaser made by the company on the Youtube channel.

Earlier we reported that thanks to a billboard that was erected in Boston, it was hinted that Google would be hosting its Pixel 2 event on the 4th of October. However, it is not known whether Google Bar is a widget or quick search bar that will be available in the notifications area. The feature in cause is called Routines and it makes it possible for Google Assistant to start multi-action initiation.

By saying "Ok Google", users can launch Google Assistant.

The code hints that users can "Squeeze for your Assistant" to access Google Assistant in the upcoming flagship from Google. It has been also found that users will be able to choose desired voice for the Google Assistant. Google is also planning to add stereo speakers at the cost of 3.5mm headphone jack, which means it will sport USB Type-C compatible headphone slot.
