Since the display has been cut down, Xiaomi has also made a decision to shave off the battery capacity to 3500mAh but have added Quick Charge 4.0 support.

Chinese phone manufacturer Xiaomi (yeah, who?) isn't so well known in the United Kingdom and U.S., but judging by the growing hype surrounding its upcoming smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, that will soon change. At the beginning of the video, you will first see Mr. Philippe Starck who is the principle designer behind Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. The company executive also confirmed that the upcoming Mi Note 3 will be a larger version of the recently announced flagship phone the Mi 6.

The Mi Note 3 will likely adopt the standard 16:9 aspect ratio for its screen, while the Mi Mix 2 is expected to come with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

Xiaomi's big event to launch the Mi Mix 2 will now get even bigger as new leaked images suggest that, the Mi mix2 will join forces with the Mi Note 3 and the Duo will try to steal the limelight from the Apple's big iPhone launch; which is just the day after Xiaomi's. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core 2.45GHz processor with Adreno 540 GPU.

Mi Note 3 is expected to come in two variants - one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage and the second one will be a high-end one and is expected to come with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone is likely to sport a 12-megapixel dual camera setup on the rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It will sport a curved display, similar to its predecessor Mi Note 2.

The Mi Mix 2 will have two SIM card slots with Dual Standby and will run Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with MIUI 9 on top. It is expected to come in 6GB and 8 GB RAM models with 128 and 256 GB of storage.

The star of the Sept 11 launch event is said to be the Mi Mix 2. The flagship is unlikely to make it to more than a few countries through official channels, but some Chinese retailers may ship the Mi MIX 2 internationally.
