"As local business people, we have seen firsthand how Hurricane Harvey has affected our customers, employees, and neighbors", said Matthew Kades, President of the McDonald's Owner/Operators Association of Greater Houston. "We are confident Houston will recover from the incredible damage caused by Hurricane Harvey, and we hope this donation will help us get there a little quicker".

The Nashville chapter of the Red Cross is planning on sending several waves of volunteers over the next few months, so if you complete one of these training courses, there's a good chance you could be on a truck heading to Texas or Louisiana sooner than later. All disaster relief funds received in Northern Michigan will go directly to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

Casey's customers will have the ability to donate any amount up to $249.99 per transaction at the cash register of any Casey's location. Casey's will match customer donations up to $100,000.

Wal-Mart and the Wal-Mart Foundation have committed up to $20 million in support of relief efforts in response to the severe weather impacting the Gulf region.

Officials say they are in dire need of more volunteers and are calling on anyone who has volunteered with the Red Cross in the past or has experience as a mental health professional to step up and help the victims of this catastrophic natural disaster. Known for its famous made-from-scratch pizza, sandwiches, donuts and bakery items, Casey's strives to consistently deliver quality gas, fresh kitchen-prepared food, clean environments and friendly service at every retail location.
