Besides HTC, a number of smartphone manufacturers have revealed when their offerings will get the Oreo update.

Unlike Android statues from previous years, the Oreo figure was actually motorized, making it a bit of a harder build than usual.

As per Google, the update will be rolled out first for Google's Pixel and Nexus lineups. The question around when other smartphone OEMs will start rolling out Android O for their devices is constantly asked, given that not every Android phone makes it to the list.

The confirmation came in a response to a U.S. customer's query on Twitter whether "Android Oreo is coming to HTC 10?"

The first from the list, HTC U11, now runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with HTC Sense UI atop, whereas HTC U Ultra now operates on Android 7.0 Nougat with HTC Sense UI atop. "Stay tuned for more Oreo details & new products!"

Android Oreo is the eighth full version of the platform and brings in many new features that users have been waiting for since long. And now Taiwanese giant HTC has confirmed that its flagship series; the HTC U11, U Ultra, HTC 10 will be getting the Android 8.0 Oreo update. It also comes with improved notifications for apps and better battery optimisation. Google also claims faster performance and 2X boot speed with the Android 8.0 Oreo.
