With the solar eclipse captivating the entirely of the USA yesterday (Aug. 21) Ozzy Osbourne fans were given a once-in-a-lifetime treat at Moonstock Festival.

The bat-chomping forefather of heavy metal planned his set at southern IL festival Moonstock down to the minute so that his performance of the iconic 1983 werewolf anthem coincided with the exact moment that the moon blocked out the sun and plunged the land into total darkness.

Ozzy's eclipse celebration looks incredible, with his band kicking off "Bark at the Moon" in pure daylight.

He was in the middle of the song at the peak of the event, which lasted around seven minutes in total. Osbourne christened the show "Moonstock". Festival attendees were given protective glasses so they could view the eclipse. As you can see in the video, the eclipse occurred just as he finished out the song's second verse. Black Stone Cherry, Halestorm and Five Finger Death Punch headlined over the course of the weekend.
