Translated by gaming website Gematsu, FighterZ's campaign is described as a "new story for Goku and his friends depicted in high-end animation", Dragon Ball FighterZ will see a revived Android 16-who is now a playable character-in a story where "super warriors fall one by one". That news comes as no huge surprise, but we have to say that it sounds promising. Seeing as the title is running on the same impressive engine as the Guilty Gear Xrd games, we imagine that this means we'll be treated to a gorgeous looking and original Dragon Ball tale.

This week's Jump magazine has revealed several Dragon Ball FighterZ characters.

Details are fairly thin, but Android 18 will definitely be a playable character, and seems to have access to a special combo attack with Android 17, although whether the latter is actually playable or only appears as support is not yet confirmed.

According to the magazine, Dragon Ball FighterZ will sport a unique Story Mode which will not follow the manga and anime storyline.

Another thing revealed in the scan is that Dragon Ball FighterZ will have some sort of story mode that features a revived Android 16. They are being advertised as different characters, so they aren't transformations. That sounds kind of cool. It looks as though Dragon Ball FighterZ adds two more combatants to its playable roster.
