The storms were capable of producing very strong wind gusts, hail and heavy rain.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for London, Parkhill and Eastern Middlesex County.

Chatham-Kent and Rondeau Park is back to a severe thunderstorm watch.

The good news is is that the storms will move through rather quickly so flooding should not be an issue despite the heavy rain that falls. Stay with for updates on the evolution of Friday's possible severe weather.

In addition, the NWS has issued a lakeshore flood warning in effect from 8 a.m. Saturday through 11 a.m. Sunday for Jefferson and Oswego counties.

The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

Full details on the watches and warnings are available on the Environment Canada website.
