The eagerly anticipated Mean Girls stage musical has found its cast.

Casting has been announced for the forthcoming world premiere musical adaptation of Mean Girls, which will debut at the National Theatre in Washington D.C. on October 31.

Like the movie (which in turn was inspired by the self-help book Queen Bees and Wannabes), the musical will follow Cady, who gets her first exposure to the social gymnastics of high school after living in Africa.

All four principal women are Broadway veterans: Henningsen recently starred in Les Miserables (and served as the youngest Fantine in Broadway history); Louderman, who is now starring in Kinky Boots, is also known for Bring It On The Musical and NBC's Peter Pan Live!

Casey Nicholaw will direct and choreograph the Broadway- bound musical, which will feature music by Jeff Richmond and lyrics by Nell Benjamin. Kerry Butler, a Tony nominee for Xanadu, will appear as math teacher Ms. Norbury, the role played by Fey onscreen.

Erika Henningsen ("Les Miserables") will play formerly home-schooled student Cady Heron, joined by Taylor Louderman ("Kinky Boots", "Bring It On The Musical") as Regina George, Ashley Park ("Sunday in the Park with George", "The King and I") as Gretchen Wieners and Kate Rockwell ("Rock of Ages", "Legally Blonde", "Hair") as Karen Smith. Direction and choreography are by Tony victor Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin).

Louderman will step into Rachel McAdams' shoes as Regina George.

Taylor Louderman, now appearing in "Kinky Boots", takes the role of Regina, the head of the clique of popular girls (played by Rachel McAdams in the movie), with Barrett Wilbert Weed ("Heathers: The Musical") signed on to play the goth girl that Lizzy Caplan played in the film.

Also joining the cast are Grey Henson, Kyle Selig, Cheech Manohar and Rick Younger.
