The Spain global needed medical attention after colliding with Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina in the first half and was replaced by midfielder Jeremie Boga.

Pedro was taken to hospital for tests and overnight observations, but Antonio Conte reassured that all was okay and that the Chelsea winger would rejoin the tour immediately afterwards.

Pedro was sent home from China yesterday after suffering a concussion in a clash with Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina during Chelsea's impressive 3-0 win in Beijing.

And he wrote: "What a shock!"

The Spain global was treated on the pitch for a few minutes before being leaving the field.

He told chelseafc.com: "Pedro went to the hospital and for sure he should be okay but I think he had concussion".

The 29-year-old was taken to a hospital in Beijing.

"It is a pity because in this period it is not good to have this type of injury but he should be okay".

Goals from Willian and Michy Batshuayi put the Premier League champions two up before half-time against a rusty Arsenal side before the Belgium global doubled his tally with an exquisite strike from the edge of the box.

The Blues need Pedro's direct pace, movement and keen eye for goal as they bid to defend the Premier League title this season, particularly with the added pressure of their return to the UEFA Champions League.
