Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin held an undisclosed second meeting at G-20, multiple outlets reported Tuesday night.

The top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, US Senator Dianne Feinsteing, said that former Federal Bureau of Investigation director Robert Mueller, has said Donald Trump Jr and Paul Manafort, campaign manager from March to August, were free to speak to the committee. "All G 20 leaders, and spouses, were invited by the Chancellor of Germany", the president tweeted. The second talk reportedly lasted almost an hour, but we don't know what was discussed because the only people involved were Trump, Putin, and Putin's interpreter.

White House staff confirmed various media reports that Putin and Trump spoke for almost an hour at the G20 Couples' Dinner, shortly after the two held a formal meeting with their respective secretaries of state that lasted over two hours.

The lack of a USA translator raised eyebrows among other leaders at the dinner, said Bremmer, who called it a "breach of national security protocol".

No formal readout of the encounter was distributed by the White House, where officials said the only account of the meeting in Hamburg came from Trump himself. No other USA officials were present for the conversation, which used the services of a Russian government interpreter, the White House said.

The hour-long conversation in Hamburg, Germany, took place at a private dinner of the world leaders at a conference hall on the banks of the Elbe River during theG20 economic summit meeting. Russian officials, including Putin, have said that Trump accepted Putin's denial.

The only US officials present other than the President and First Lady was an English-to-Japanese interpreter, who was selected because President Trump was seated next to Akie Abe, the wife of the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.

While he once passionately insisted he's "no puppet", now his administration will unabashedly mull returning seized Russian compounds in the U.S. or float the idea of a joint U.S. -Russia cyber security unit to prevent election hacking.

American news networks prominently covered the Trump-Putin exchange as urgent, breaking news, prompting commentators to observe the timing of the new disclosures was not good for the administration.

Trump and Putin first met at the G20 during a gathering of other leaders, which was shown in a video.

In his first appearance at the White House briefing since June 26, Spicer repeated the same defense that Trump Jr. originally offered on July 8 when he was asked about the meeting - that it was a nothing but "short introductory meeting. about the adoption of Russian children that was active and popular with American families years ago".

The official added that the meeting was "perfectly normal" for two world leaders.

The White House said this evening that President Trump has confidence in Mr Kushner and is aware of no plans to change his role as adviser.
