The Spanish paper has revealed that Borussia Dortmund have offered striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang to Chelsea for £71m.

And the Daily Mirror say the 28-year-old is heading to Stamford Bridge.

But Chelsea have now emerged as leading candidates for his signature, and Aubameyang posted a picture of himself apparently preparing to jet out on Wednesday.

Chelsea have ditched their attempts to sign Alvaro Morata because they are closing-in on a £70m deal to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang instead, according to a report in the Express.

He's among the most prolific strikers in European football, and he'd be a healthy upgrade even on Diego Costa, so he'd be an ideal buy to strengthen the Blues ahead of their Premier League title defence and return to the UEFA Champions League.

Reports this week claimed the Blues, who are desperate to land a new striker, had been offered the Gabon global.

Last week Chelsea lost the fight for striker "Everton" Romelu Lukaku, who signed the contract with "Manchester United".

The Gabon worldwide, who scored 42 goals for club and country last season, has also received offers from the Chinese Super League, including Tianjin Quanjian. "He can leave Dortmund this summer for £70million".

The Gabon worldwide has proven himself to be a force in Europe over the last few years, and since joining BVB, he has scored 120 goals for the club in 189 games.
