Hauz Khas on high alert, terrorists plan to attack foreign nationals

All the restaurants and cafes in the Hauz Khas Village area have been asked to keep a close watch on monitoring rooms of CCTV cameras and to contact the police regarding any suspicious person or item. The women have called such bans witless.

Security at Delhi's one of the favourites hang out places, Hauz Khas Village (HKV) has been beefed up and the police are closing down venues by 11 pm every night. Police said they are focusing on shops and restaurants in the area because it attracts a large number of foreigners.Iswar Singh, deputy commissioner of police (south) dismissed social media reports that police has banned ladies' night at the Hauz Khas Village.Singh said police have spoken to excise department officials to ensure that only licensed restaurants are operational and also that the liquor would not be served to those aged below 25 years.

According to Singh, this trend hampers the law and order in the area. He added that all such establishments will be asked to stop hosting such nights. According to reports, banned terror outfits in India are targeting foreign nationals in the Capital, especially in popular restaurants and cafes, such as those in Hauz Khas Village. The new instructions come in the wake of an incident which happened a couple of days ago.

A Twitter user recounted her experience in Delhi's Hauz Khas Village, where she witnessed a group of stone-cold sober men trying to abduct a woman.
