The Duchess of Cambridge wore an eye-catching D&G black and white monochrome dress, arriving at the All England Tennis Club on Monday morning alongside Sir Philip Brook.

Although the Duchess of Cambridge is rarely seen without a stylish clutch bag, it looks like the most fashionable royal has swapped her usual essential item with a larger, roomier handbag while enjoying the first day of Wimbledon.

It was no surprise that Wimbledon was one of the organisations Her Majesty has stepped down from.

The former Kate Middleton, 35, showed off her shorter, bouncier hairdo at the tournament today. A spokesperson for the club was quoted, saying "They will let us know when the change happens".

In the end, though we're in a love-hate relationship with Kate Middleton's new hair, we're happy if she's happy.

Kate, who had a tennis court installed at her home of Amner Hall in Norfolk, is an avid tennis fan and in 2013 wrote to Andy Murray apologizing for not having been able to attend his victorious Wimbledon men's final. And a statement issued at the time on her behalf said "The Duchess was pleased to accept the kind offer, particularly given her interest in tennis".

The Duchess is a regular at the All England Club since becoming patron when the Queen announced that she would be stepping down. " Shocked ", Kate Middleton and her husband prince William had immediately claimed, through their lawyer, Jean Veil, 1.5 million of damages and interest.

As tennis player herself, Kate watches every year the games of the famous athletic event in London.
