ABC Will Premiere 'Marvel's Inhumans' Series In September

If you're not willing to wait that long, however, the premiere will also play in IMAX theaters around the country for two weeks, starting on September 1. ABC and Marvel's Inhumans finally has an official premiere date, with the first two episodes premiering back-to-back in order to introduce viewers to the mysterious world of the Inhumans.

The Inhumans teaser trailer alludes to Maximus' darker ambitions and plans to upend his brother's rule, setting up the series to be something of a (superhero) family soap opera, like many Inhumans/Royal Family comic book stories have been before it.

In tandem with the announcement, two new one-sheets were unleashed: one poster, and one banner created to tease the otherworldly city of Attilan.

Feeling a bit lost on how the Inhumans fit into Marvel's timeline?

Inhumans debuts with its first two episodes in IMAX and then will air with additional footage and subsequent episodes in the Fall.

The series will consist of 8 episodes and is based on the Marvel comic of the same name. Even though the first two episodes will be released for free on TV, the hope is that people will turn out to see them early.

A new poster and updated release dates for Marvel's big television/IMAX event INHUMANS are here and it looks like a slight shift from the original plans, but nothing too drastic. As reported by the Inquisitr in April of previous year, the movie was suddenly taken off of Marvel's release schedule and no longer set to hit theaters in July of 2019.

King Black Bolt and the Inhumans royal family will be on your television screen sooner than expected.

You can actually see the show earlier if you head to a participating IMAX movie theater.
