Nothing doing. The 33rd NBA Draft Lottery went off pretty much as predicted with the team with the league's worst record, the Brooklyn Nets, winning the first pick.

Following an National Basketball Association draft lottery night that saw the ping pong balls give the Los Angeles Lakers the No. 2 pick, the father of projected top-three pick Lonzo Ball - already blunt beforehand in where he wants his son to play - doesn't plan to give any other team besides the hometown Lakers a chance.

In the first post-lottery mock draft, Daily Knicks takes a look at whom the New York Knicks should be targeting-and who the other options may be. "I think that they can add to our team and help us in some capacity, but I think it's risky to think that a 19-year-old's going to come in and transform our franchise". Boston is able to be in this position thanks to the heist from the Nets that shipped out an ancient Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. Or will they trade it for a proven All-Star who might help them surpass the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference?

The Nets meanwhile have declined, getting progressively worse results since the deal. Hinkie knew it would not be easy for the team's diehard fans to endure such a painful rebuild, but he famously implored them to "trust the process". "Now it's our turn 4 years later to take some benefits from the trade". But right now it's just good to have clarity as to where everybody is in the draft. Markelle Fultz from Washington appears to be the target with the first overall pick.

The Los Angeles Lakers meanwhile discovered they will get second pick. Los Angeles has missed the postseason in each of the last four seasons. The Lakers should improve on those marks next season as their young core continues to grow, but adding Lonzo to the mix may not be enough to vault the Lakers into the 40-win range immediately.

"There really was no way to walk out of here disappointed given the possible outcomes we faced". Just so we're clear, the 2018 draft is thought to be incredibly weak compared to this year's.

The Kings landed two spots in the lottery, including their own pick at No. 5.
