Tottenham and Manchester United have both been linked with the Bayern Munich winger this season but the Italian champions are hoping their status as Champions League finalists will lure Costa to Turin.

And now according to Italian paper La Stampa, Juventus have stepped up their interest by making a bid for the 26-year-old.

The two clubs have done lots of business in recent seasons with Arturo Vidal moving from Juventus to Bayern in the summer of 2015, before Kingsley Coman followed him just a few months later.

It is said the recently crowned Serie A champions have tabled an offer of £21million.

Tottenham have also been mooted as a possible destination for the Brazil worldwide. That, says Michel, would be a "bargain" for a player who has scored 14 goals in 21 games this season. Mourinho's Manchester United are the most relevant club linked to the Portuguese worldwide, and after their swoop for Juve's Paul Pogba last summer, another young star could be on his way to Old Trafford soon.

His pace and dribbling ability could be key to helping Tottenham once again compete for the Premier League title next term, as well as progressing further in the Champions League. But Tottenham are believed to be leading the chase and they could sign him for as little as £5m.

Sebastian Rudy will also arrive from Hoffenheim in the summer, paving the way for Juve to pursue Sanches - perhaps stealing him away from United in the process.
